have you ever seen those really old ads from the 1800s where there are two little kids looking really happy and the giant word COCAINE at the top? (apparently it was used to cure toothaches way back when.) well i love that like i love this.

commercials back in those days never were for any other purpose other than to make one crack up anyways.

love those smiley american posters. especially the cigarette ones.

oh those cigarette ads are loverly! almost bought a couple today - real vintage ones with proper curvy women (oh ya. rail thin wasn't in then) posing with some flowers (completely irrelevant to the ciggies they were marketing) and some cheena words (probably describing the goodness of the ciggies) and a mini pic of the pack at the bottom - for the avoidance of any doubt. real pretty actually. ended up buying a poster (not so vintage) of jet li instead. that exhausted all monetary resources. guess at who's demand? tsk.
