Finally.

Having finally run out of memory cards, I've gone out and put all the baby photos on CD. But I still can't bear to delete them from the card. Deleting pictures of the Son! No way!

He stood up by himself today without any support!! And immediately fell down, of course, and there was much crying and recrimination. But I am so pleased. Maybe he can start on some proof-reading tonight.

Here is my son wearing his little scrunchy sized swimsuit (which cost me S$30, thus making it the most expensive scrunchy in the world).

  1. It appears that in the history of mankind, no child without physical handicaps has failed to learn how to stand, walk and run on their own. Yet many adults without physical handicaps often say to themselves - I can't drive, I can't learn this or I can't do that.

Apparently, failure is something human beings first encounter in school and in some unfortunate children, their sense of failure is reinforced so often by their experiences in human society that after awhile they believe they can't achieve anything anymore. They subscribe to the slogan that "If at first you don't succeed, failure may just be your style."

Isn't it a sick world we live in? :)
